One hundred percent. I'm 47 years old, and had never seen this movie, until I bought the Kino 4k scan on blu-ray. This movie is a must see for It's uniqueness of the 90's thriller/noir style - gritty, and intelligent.

Where did you buy this? Can’t find it at Target, Walmart or Amazon. Please help.

Wait so they made a whole new disk, when the original pressing had both movies in one disk? Have you compared the old release or the trilogy presentation, to the disk?

I just ordered my second copy today (I like to double-tip with some physical media). Anyway great films and this VS release is beautiful. Love the hi-def transfer and finally seeing this classic film in it's first Uncut version👍👍I have nothing more better to say about this twisted flick.

I will never forget this movie, i was 8 when I watched this and was absolutly mesmerized by the whole atmosphere.

And there are two supplements on this release. The first is an excellent conversation with Sayles and the second is a great interview with the cinematographer.

One of my top 10 films! Amazing story telling with great performances.

John Sayles is an amazing talent which is obvious once you've seen this film. What an amazing story and cast (I developed a bit of a crush on Elizabeth Pena after seeing this. It's heartbreaking she's no longer with us.). I also saw this in the theater when it was released and maybe only one other time on video. I am long overdue in seeing it again. Thanks for bringing it to my attention. Please keep up the great work! 😊

Good video, actually it was Sony that did the 4K transfer so don't be surprised If they release their own 4K of The Blob.

The thing, the fly and the blob are my trifecta of 80s horror flicks. All 3 have incredible ceeature effects and are remakes that stand tall on their own.

Salem's lot 1979 miniseries has a runtime of 3 hrs and 3 mins 3 seconds. It 1990 miniseries has a runtime of 3 hrs 7 mins 25 seconds. The stand 1994 miniseries has a runtime of 5 hrs 58 mins 43 seconds. Rose Red 2001 miniseries has a runtime of 4 hrs 14 mins 5 seconds.

As a late 80's kid who has been watching horror movies since I was in the womb, I loved this movie. I have never seen Twin Peaks (I know, I know, it's on my to-do list!) but I also loved the movie Silver Bullet, which "Father" was equally as menacingly wonderful in.

Its the best jimcarrey movie of all time.

Correction: this flick’s runtime is ~1 hr 45 minutes. I still think they could’ve slipped in a few more world building scenes at the beginning.
